“ Continent DC is truly a gem! Every time I step into Continent, the vibe is always on point--positive energy and amazing ambiance that just makes you feel good! They never miss! I started off with the Suya, which used to be an appetizer but is now offered as an entree. It's super tasty, but please bring it back as an appetizer! It's so good, but I don't want to get full off of it because I need room for the rest of the deliciousness. For my entree, I had the Branzino, and let me tell you--it was everything! Tender, crispy, and bursting with flavor. If I lived in DC, I'd be there right now ordering it again. If you're looking for a spot that's moderately priced but delivers incredible food for the price, Continent DC is it. This place is a must-visit! ”

“ Can I just say how breathtaking this place is in person? The decor is so mature, sexy, and chic-I'm a fan. Great for dates, time with friends, or a good time with a group. Prices: you will spend a pretty penny but the quantity and quality is worth every dollar. Hostess: the hostess were so friendly and hospitable. It's a rare find to encounter smiles from the time you walk through the door to the time that you leave. Waitress: shoutout to Elizabeth! Not only was she great at giving us recommendations, but she was fun to chat with and remembers the details of her guests. Drinks: baby! One drink won't do so I had two! My first drink was the Ayaba Spritz- SO refreshing and something I can imagine sipping while on a yacht. My second drink was the Cape Town Margarita and this drink brought spice to the table! I really enjoyed it. Appetizers: For starters my friend and I shared a delicious vegetable Samosas. The crust was buttery, flaky, and to die for. The filling was perfectly seasoned and very delicious. Main dish: I ordered a side of MoiMoi and my main dish was the Suya Beef Bites and a side of Jollof Rice. The MoiMoi was SCRUMPTIOUS! Omg! Whatever seasoning they used to prepare this, left me desiring more. I actually ate more of the MoiMoi than my actual meal-it was that good! The suya beef bites were good. But, I've had suya through a Nigerian friend and these didn't hit the spot like hers did. The jollof rice was also good-nothing memorable. I would likely order more MoiMoi and some wings the next time I visited lol did I tell you how much I enjoyed the MoiMoi?! The cherry on top of this remarkable night was the staff coming out to wish me happy birthday and present me with a cake. I was so blown away and felt the birthday love. Would I return? ABSOLUTELY! There are more items I'd like to try on their menu. Would I recommend? Without a doubt! Visit them for happy hour or dinner, you'd enjoy it! ”

“ Amazing experience! Hubby and I went for Valentine's Day. They had a prefix 4 course menu. It was more than enough food and we had plenty for leftovers. We started with salads and an appetizer. We got wings which were really good and flavorful. For our entree my husband got oxtails and jollof rice and I got braised beef and jollof rice. I wanted to get plantain but didn't want to get full on the main course. Everything was delicious and the desserts was top tier. I had the rum cake and my husband had the pineapple upside down cake. I can't wait to go back because their are other menu items I want to try. ”

“ We got there when there was a transition from afternoon party to dinner service. It took a while to be seated despite our reservation time, but it was worth the wait. Drinks were hand crafted and fresh. Everyone loved the oasis in Africa drink. The food took a bit of time, but it was good The grilled red snapper was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Jollof rice was well seasoned and very good. I had no complaints about the food at all. The menus is not clear when it comes to the Lagos snapper. We were expecting plantains, and fried yam as the menu alludes to, but it was extra. Please make this clearer on the menu. The ambiance is good. They have lots of space and its lively. I'll probably come back during the week when it might be more quiet. ”

“ Finally tried this place! I did dinner last night with a big group. This is definitely a popular place so don't bother showing up without a reservation! Parking wasn't terrible on a Saturday evening. I found metered street parking around the corner. Paid via parkmobile. There is a nearby garage and it was only $10. A few in our group parked there. Now I know for next time! I arrived a bit earlier than the reservation so I hung out at the bar. It was buzzing! Since it was "National Margarita Day" I decided to try their Cape Town Margarita - tasty but not strong. Service at the bar was good. Since they were packed, they give a time limit once seated - 2 hours! They didn't stick to it since some of the food took awhile to come out. We stayed close to the 3 hour mark! So regarding the dress code, online it says upscale. Some were certainly going for that depending on the occasion being celebrated. Most seemed to be date night cute or smart casual. I wouldn't recommend showing up in sweats! Kudos to our amazing server, Denham. Thank you so much for bearing with us and taking our pictures and just being awesome in general. Please give him a raise! Next time I'm here, I'm requesting him to be my server! Now onto the food. I tried the grilled chicken with a side of jollof. The chicken wasn't bad as far as taste. When I saw it, I was thinking it didn't look appetizing but I gave it a try - it was well seasoned and was flavorful. The jollof was a bit spicy but I didn't mind the spice. “ Honestly some great food with the lamb chops and giant shrimp really taking the cake, and the beef suya coming in close! Flavors are all on point, they have very spicy sauce if you want it, just ask, and the cocktails are so good! Service is a little lackluster and the space isn't the most beautiful, but we had a really nice table. We'll definitely be back and I think you should try it! ”

“ I had a great time celebrating a birthday dinner! The servers really made the birthday girl feel special. The place is beautiful, I loved the art work , table setting and light fixtures as it was just a gorgeous space to take in. This place has not been open a year and they are doing an amazing job! We had a pretty big party and the food was delayed with coming out. The staff took accountability, apologized for the delay and the food came out. What more could you ask for ! Also the jollof rice was a 10 out of 10!! Many places can't seem to get jollof rice right and they did that! I loved my meal and will definitely be back. ”
